Business Network - Network Manager
Context: Cluster of the metalworking sector located in North-East Italy, involving several business networks, including one of companies specialized in surface treatment of materials.
Problem
- Multiple entrepreneurs present who want to individually and collectively increase their innovative capacity and market competitiveness through a Business Network project.
- Issue arising from assigning management and development activities to the entrepreneurs of the individual companies, which has led the Network to be condemned to a marginal condition compared to the core business of the individual entrepreneurs.
- Search for managerial figures who, thanks to a common Network program, collaborate in predetermined forms and areas related to the operation of their companies.
- Need for Identification of strategic territorial partners.
- Need for Visibility and promotion on communication channels.
Proposed solution
- Presence in the company of a Network Manager capable of coordinating the various entrepreneurial souls and channeling the drives of individuals into a single project by identifying the priority activities to act upon.
- Wide range of action in predefined areas of the Manager who is multifunctional and capable of carrying out various activities: from guiding operators to process and product innovation, to enhancing work environments, to protecting brands, to promoting and managing business relationships, not to mention a good knowledge of economic-financial rationale.
- Constant presence in the companies of the network.
- Choice of a Manager with skills complementary to the ownership and individual entrepreneurs for managing possible conflicts and any internal misalignments, in order to improve synergies, the cohesion of the Network, and consequently its productivity.
- Development of a Network communication strategy.
- Enhancement of the excellences of the companies constituting the network, promotion of the territory, market competitiveness, and a push towards internationalization.
- Working groups among entrepreneurs of the cluster/network aimed at intensifying the exchange of experiences and knowledge and implementing an evolution of managerial culture in the companies of the Cluster/network.
