Temporary Managing for the assignment of a European Community contribution on an International R&D project

Context: Italian companies located in F-VJ, active for 25 years, mechanical sector linked to the production of machines and plants for water purification. Turnover > €15 million, of which 60% abroad, number of employees > 40.

Problem
The company invests every year more than 15% of its turnover in R&D without ever having had access to funding. It decides to participate in a European Community Contribution project that involves 10 companies and is funded under: FP5-GROWTH. The project concerns the protection of the natural environment with the recovery of hundreds of thousands of m3 of water coming from the water treatment plants of EC plating workshops that generate toxic waste that is difficult to identify and quantify. The aim of the proposal is to achieve "zero liquid waste" on site, developing and validating recycling and purification techniques for effluents. The innovation is integrated into the company's R&D process and comes before the recycling of recovered water. The company does not identify in its organization chart a suitable manager to follow the project. The project is worth €400,000 in contributions for the company.

Proposed solution

Assistance for project reporting with the following activities:

Creation and exploitation of synergies with the 10 partner companies in the project.

Organization and coordination of external and internal collaborators participating in the project.

Participation in operational meetings in language (English/French) with the project partners both at the premises of the participating companies and at the headquarters of the European Community in Brussels.
