Business Network - Network Manager

Context: Cluster in the metalworking sector located in the North East of Italy, where various business networks participate, among which one is made up of companies specialized in the treatment of material surfaces.

 Problem 

  • Multiple presence of entrepreneurs who want to increase both individually and collectively their innovative capacity and their competitiveness on the market through a Business Network project.

  • Problems arising from the assignment of management and development activities to the entrepreneurs of the individual companies, which has led the Network to be condemned to a marginal condition compared to the type of business of the individual entrepreneurs.

  • Search for managerial figures who, thanks to a common Network program, collaborate in predetermined forms and areas related to the operation of their companies.

  • Need to identify strategic territorial partners.

  • Need for Visibility and promotion on communication channels.

 Proposed solution 

  • Presence in companies of a Network Manager capable of coordinating the various entrepreneurial spirits and channeling the efforts of individuals into a single project with the identification of priority activities to act upon.

  • Implementation of actions in areas predefined by the Manager who is multifunctional and able to carry out various activities: from orienting operators to process and product innovation, to enhancing work environments, to protecting brands, to promoting and managing business relationships, without forgetting a good knowledge of economic and financial reasoning.

  • Constant presence in the network companies.

  • Choice of a Manager with skills complementary to the ownership and individual entrepreneurs for the management of possible conflicts and any internal misalignments, to improve synergies, the understanding of the Network and consequently its productivity.

  • Development of a Network communication strategy.

  • Enhancement of the excellences of the companies that make up the network, the promotion of the territory, competitiveness on the market and a push towards internationalization.

  • Work tables among entrepreneurs of the cluster/network aimed at intensifying the exchange of experiences and knowledge and implementing an evolution of managerial culture in the companies of the Cluster/network
